Using a really fine needle, special dissolvable threads made of Polydioxanone (PDO) are injected into the skin, and sometimes the muscle, to tighten the skin.
The PDO threads have a powerful dual effect. The first is to give an immediate lifting effect. The second is to stimulate your bodies own Collagen, Elastin and Hyaluronic Acid.
What’s great about PDO threads is they do not have hooks or tapers that raise tissue. The lifting effect is achieved by a special thread weave producing a smoother tighter look immediately.
Thread lifts are non-surgical with the medical practitioner using a very fine needle to insert the threads into the areas that need lifting. Because there are no cuts or incision required there’s no scarring.

The thread itself is designed to dissolve into your body in between 180 and 240 days, after new fibrous connective tissue around the thread has been generated.
The threads cause a very mild reaction with some patients experiencing some swelling and bruising as a result of the injections. This is normally light but we can’t rule out it being severe. Everyone reacts slightly differently. Timing your treatment to take this into account is advised.
